In early 2015, Salesforce Trailhead was released in beta version to the developer community. I remember stumbling across it for the first time. It felt like I’d put my hand in the pocket of some newly washed jeans and found a $50 bill. It was just there, free and full of potential… and now in my hands.

While Trailhead may still be in beta, Dreamforce 2015 made clear that it’s here to stay and no longer a secret. New modules are appearing weekly and quickly turning the resource into a comprehensive go-to source for training on the Salesforce platform.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Salesforce Trailhead is a fun, free, and interactive way to learn the Salesforce platform. Whether you’re an admin, an aspiring developer, or somewhere in between, Salesforce Trailhead is an amazing resource that you don’t want to miss out on.

Trailhead content is neatly arranged into individual modules which focus on specific functionality in the system. You can explore the over 300 existing modules a la carte or select from pre-defined Trails that link related modules together.

The content is filled with videos and interactive lessons, each step containing a challenge at the end where your hands-on work in a developer environment is checked for accuracy. As you complete challenges, you rack up points and earn badges. Learning Salesforce just became fun!
